Its that time of year again! On Saturday March 16th, 2024, I will be participating in the Oregon Adaptive Sports Ski for All. OAS is a nationally recognized adaptive sports organization, providing best-in-class outdoor experiences for students, veterans and people of all ages living with a disability. Last year we provided over 2,000 experiences in our ski programs at Mt. Bachelor, Hoodoo and Mt. Ashland and our summer programs in cycling, mountain biking and hiking.
My six-year term as a board member came to a close in January of this year, allowing me to spend more time volunteering at Mt. Bachelor and experiencing the joy that comes with a great day of skiing and the healing power of outdoor recreation.
Every dollar you donate will help us break down barriers to the outdoors for individuals with disabilities. OAS provides our athletes with state-of-the-art adaptive sports equipment, highly trained instructors and dedicated volunteers who share their love for skiing and being outside in nature. Your donations help subsidize the cost of lessons so these experiences are affordable. We provide scholarships where needed to ensure access for everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. Our summer Community Cycling, Hiking and Paddling programs are available at no cost to our participants!
Thank you for participating in this years' Ski For All fundraiser and supporting our OAS athletes. I'd like to give a special shout out to the entire Ski Madness Group for an amazing week at Alyeska Resort in Anchorage and a generous donation to OAS!
